I am dealing with them now and they have extended my deadline over 2 months. I am curious who did you deal with over there and about how much longer did it take after their initial deadline before they actually finished?

I am debating firing them mid-project and going with a plan-B company.

any insight would be much appreciated.

thanks!

Greetings.

I was listening to eight page story today and I decided to do a search on them. I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd comment anyway.

As much as a band like eight page could have a groupie, I was it (me = dork). I followed them all over, seeing them play at Nick's, Espresso Yourself, the YAC at Claremont High (with Matt Nathanson and Sages of Memphis), and, sadly, their final show at the Roxy in LA in the summer of 95 (I think).

The singer, Erin Jackson, and the guitarist/bassist, Johnny Joyner, left the band to do their own work as a duo called Bloom. As far as I know, that never went anywhere. What a shame. I hope that voice didn't go to waste.

They have a demo/EP called Synesthesia from 1994. Here's the track listing:

1. The Straw That Broke the Camel's Back
2. Clean and Sober
3. Brightened Body
4. Made With Spoons
5. Jake

It's only on cassette, but someday I'll get around to hooking up my old cassette player to my computer and making a digital version of it.

In similar news, Matt Nathanson has a pretty rocking career (www.mattnathanson.com). He tours like mad, and he puts on a fantastic live show. At a show in Virginia in 2000, I got a chance to ask him if he remembers those days, specifically the shows with eight page and Sages. He laughed and said something about rockin' the Inland Empire.

Anyway. There's a bit of history about one of my favorite local bands growing up. Thanks for stoking the reminiscence.

I have to say, I agree. I grew up in the south and this place has THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN and also CATFISH. Plus, they serve cornbread, instead of bread. A pleasant surprise in the middle of NYC.

Hmmm..perhaps you had a bad experience, but I went last night and it was AWESOME...Yes, there was a wait of about an hour but that's usually a sign that they're a popular restaurant ADUH!...But while we waited, we had some drinks at the bar--the drinks were fairly priced for their size..no complaints there...I'm not sure what your budget is but our tab for the food was 56 bucks for 4 people so i def WOULD NOT call them over priced. The waiter came quickly, the food came quicker and the experience and setting was very fun...Maybe you are fresh out of highschool and still concerned with "in-crowds" but overall its something different and the sceneray is def entertaining...The service was great...I have no complaints. :)
