If you live on the west side of LA and are not willing to drive to East LA then this is your only stop for good Mexican food. They have all of the traditional Mexican dishes like carnitas, Chiles rellenos, chimichangas, and of course the cambo plates. The food is some of the best that you are going to find in the area. As for promt seating only if you get there before 6pm. A big down fall – no parking and you are forced to pay for valet.  If you show up after 6pm you are looking at about an hour wait for a table. This place is a must stop for mexican food on the west side.

Swingers
They have 2 locations

Phone: (323) 653-5858

802 Broadway
Santa Monica, CA

Phone: (310) 393-9793

Open 24 – 7

What can I say about Swingers that has not already been said. This is not your normal late night after drunk at the bar place to eat. But don’t get me worng they have the normal late night eats, Grilled Cheese, basket of fries with ranch, and a nice stack of hot cakes for the really drunk that have no idea what they are ordering. I do  have to drop a note in here – I think they put some sort of crack in the fries because after you eat one you just can’t stop eating them, then later that week you start craving them over and over again. I guess what I am saying is ” The fries are really good” . But that’s not all !!!! this is a late nite dinner that is Vegan friendly. If you just want to get your food and get out then this is not the place for you. But there is a Norms right down the street from the Santa Monica Swingers enjoy. But if you are just out of the club and really do not want the party to end then swingers is your spot. The food gets a A- but the ambiance gets an A+ Swingers is a must stop for any light night needs.

Feel free to check out their Web Site

This is a great place to get away from all the Glits and Glamor of the Hollywood lifestyle. This to me is one of the best 50’s style diners in Southern Ca.  Rea’s is known for it’s burgers and most of all their Breakfast. Just to give you an idea of the place  I will give you the inside of what I order.  2 hot cakes a side of sausage (4 come in the side order) and a side order of breakfast potatos total price 4.25. somedays I will order the french toast but really no price change. The place is really  not much to look at, but the breakfast is worth driving across town for.  On the weekends there will be a wait and don’t forget to bring cash!!!!!!!!!!!   they do not take any plastic.

  • Sun-Thu 11:30am-10:30pm Fri-Sat 11:30am-1am

Let me see where to start with this little LA gem. I guess I could say if you are looking for any kind of noodle then this is your stop. At fist glance its not much to look at in a way you feel like you are eating in a high school gym. But don’ t that fool you the food at this place is off the charts. Surving dishes from Pad Thai (Pictured)
rice stick noodles stir-fried with chicken, shrimp, eggs, beansprouts, tofu, and crushed peanuts.

Teo Chew Noodles (Pictured)
shrimp, chicken, ground pork, fish balls, and fish cakes with a choice of rice noodles or egg noodles.

Now a must have when you drop into this hot spot is their smoothies not as good a jamba juice but it’s worth it. For a little more you can add boba. Now if you have never had boba I saw give it a try I personaly am not a fan but thats not to say you wont be. http://www.boba.com/
You can drop in to Noodle Planet any time and be seated in no time. But the one thing to remember that Noodle Planet is in the heart of the Westwood Village so parking is a huge problem. Other then that Noodle Planet is a must stop in Los Angeles.

Now if you are a Burger eater then this is the place for you. It’s not like your normal burger joint where you just choose a ready made burger from the menu. At the Counter you can really have it your way. Check out the menu and you will understand. If you are an indecisive person then this is not the place for you. I would have to say these are the second best burgers in LA of course the the number one is In and Out But you already knew that. The counter has a great set up with all the walled windows that open up to give you the feeling that you are sitting on a patio. One thing that I do have to toss in here is MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE FIFTY 50 THIS IS THE HALF FRIES AND HALF ONION STRINGS. I put that in caps because it’s a must have. There is no good time to hit the Counter to beat the rush, no matter when you go be ready for a wait. But the Counter is a must stop in Los Angeles.

Happy mothers day

Places to eat in Los Angeles

French Quarter Market Place

7985 Santa Monica Blvd
West Hollywood, CA
90046-5074

Phone: (323) 654-0898

This is a great palce to take your mother for mothers day. If you can’t get in today make a note of it a try to take next week end. I like French Quater for breakfast but please don’t stop there lunch is worth the drive. Here is a look at the Menu. always get the BUTTERMILK HOT CAKES (5) 5.95. Now I like to think I’m apart of the big eaters club, but here I can make through may be 2 1/2 hot cakes. One Breakfast portion can feed 2 people. And when you are all stuffed you can take a second to walk around the shops that line the inside of the restaurant. The low down – any time during the week it’s a fast sit down, and on the week ends you are looking at about an hour wait for breakfast. The French Quarter Market Place is a must stop at any time of the year.

Places to eat in Los Angeles

29.jpg38.jpg39.jpg

“GEISHA HOUSE

is a Modern Japanese Restaurant, Sushi Bar and Sake Lounge that embraces the flavor of traditional Japan while catering to the hip, sophisticated clientele of Los Angeles.” – Opentable.com I could not have said that any better myself. This a High end look me kinda place. Its for sure one of Hollywoods be seen spots to eat. I usally tend to stay away from places like this for me it a big price tag for very little food. So I must say I was draged to this place for dinner, and in the end I happy I was. Let me see I had the Grilled Mongolian Lamb Chop 18.00. The lamb was so tender it just melted in my mouth, and the sauce made the dish. The flavors of both go hand in hand. The only way I can describe the look of the GEISHA HOUSE is a work art. The modren art that slides right in with the design and lighting of the building makes you feel like your in some sort sex in the city scene. This is a must ftop for the LA area.
